I understood Peacock and Buderus' contract being renewed. Peacock has another year in him easy as does Buderus when used in a 2 hooker role. Senior has been caught out numerous times this year in defence but has shown alot going forward. For me, they've resigned the name there.

I would of thought it wise to cut them off one by one, rather than risk having to replace many at once.

I disagree 100% with this statement. Over the last six years we have undoubtedly been the most successful team. Leeds were pretty much nowhere six years ago. It was only four years ago that we swept the board and lost only four matches by 4, 3, 2, 1 points. So I think you are way off base on this claim. And indeed I would count us reaching the Grand Final four times on the trot as being a measure of success even though we have lost it for the last three years. It is indicative of our standard of play that during those four visits to the Grand Final we also won the Challenge Cup on three consecutive occasions and the hubcap on four consecutive occasions. We also won the World Clup Championship in 2007. I don't see how you can claim Leeds have been the most successful team over the last six years.

Over the past six years Leeds have won four Super League titles and we have won one. That's pretty emphatic from where I'm stood.

Totally agree. Thats why many will see the 2012 as a transition period. Alot of the OOC players at the end of 2011 (and there is quite a few) could well leave. It all depends on what Brian McDermott & Hetherington sees fit - are they willing to replace them all at once and wait to gel the team during 2012 and push on in 2013 or will they just start replacing them year by year (which should've been started at the end of this year)

I'd like to have thought GH had signed them up for extra years to secure their services if no one else is available, but then demand (however big or small) a fee for them moving on at the end of the current services - but it doesn't look that way.

Oh forgot to add that we have only won four Grand Finals ourselves since 1998, which is twelve years.

Our current transitional period has meant us using a lot of youngsters, who really got thrown in the deep end. What sort of standard are your current lot that would be called upon, should you lose a handful of old guard at once?

We have complimented these with many a cup victory, though (7 since '96?).

You've done well with your youngsters this year. Ours wont fair aswell. Ambler & Clarkson have shown they can perform to the high standard that is required. Pitts should do well when given the chance. Anyone else that i can see stepping up? Probably only McShane and of course we've got BJB to come back. I suppose a good amount of cap space would come available if Buderus and Senior both left at the end of next term so that could leave room bring someone decent in, same goes for Eastwood this year.

Anyone can win the cup e.g. Castleford, Featherstone, Warrington. Only the best teams win the league e.g. Saints, Leeds, Hull KR.

And we've had more than our fair share of both.
