Whilst I understand (and share) the frustrations, I've certainly seen Lance have back to back poor games without the excuse of a prolonged absence from the first team. Plus, Lance has had the benefit of playing 6 alongside Walsh (or at least Wilkin), Wheeler appears to be being asked to play scrum half with Turner at 6!

Asking Wheeler to play 7 to Turner's 6 is not how we should be going. We need to bring in someone who can be a steady eddie and kick from 7 (Charnock looking the most obvious), with either Swift or Wheeler playing 6 and Turner back in the cerntres where he belongs.

Lance got panned for his first 2 years, so he hardly got off scott free.

Even with Walsh out the team this year, he has been decent. ( I would not go further than that)

Not watched the game yet, listened to it on the radio from the 20 th minute mark, so in 60 mins of play the commentators I don,t think mentioned his name once, had to check the team to see if he was actually in the playing list.
I agree should have given some game to Hewitt knowing we are playing the last 6 weeks with no half backs with Wheeler who goes missing and if he puts in a reasonable game will get injured for the next game.

His lack of playing time is probably showing, the problem he has is their isnt enough games left to play himself into some rhythm and form and even if their was he can't sting the games together without getting injured. I wouldn't be shocked to see him at a Championship club next season where hopefully he can build some form and try to earn a SL contract.
