Salford have talked about a loan deal, or perhaps a swap.
Maybe Lance is going there on loan and a player like Fages going to Saints as part of the deal.

Wouldn't there be potential work permit issues with Hohaia swapping clubs a la Chase being stuck at Cas? It would be absolutely fantastic if we could get rid and I'm praying like hack that it might be so, but it seems somewhat unlikely.

Chase had visa problems because of criminal offences, didn't he?
Also, Lance has a much better international pedigree, so would be better qualified for a visa application.

How does a swap deal work with the cap? Would you still have Lance included in your spend for the year, and then have to pay the new player and show his also?

Fair enough, but there'd still need to an application for another work permit if he did switch and it would have to count as at least some risk in any move. Still sounds like a wild rumour to me, but hopefully the money burning a hole in Salford's pocket and their desire to make a statement of intent may lead somewhere...
