I'd stick to what a said at the start of the season, our front row is the best in the league, Wigans back row is the best. We have the best hooker in the league, wigan the best winger, were we are dire here.
But the major difference between the squads isnt the players, its the coach

I think I took a little exception to the subject of the youngsters. Basically, at the moment (and I may be over-reacting due to the experience of the quins game), I just feel these young guys are on a hiding to nothing due to our team as a whole's form.
Of course the coach isn't irrelevant! I just think some of the things that have been said by some people on here and on other threads are really stupid. They just make me laugh. Some people wanted us to have Maguire as our coach, obviously. Well, we don't have. Thank God. Why? Because I would HATE Saints to be playing the kind of rugby Wigan are playing. I wouldn't watch them as I would be asleep by halftime at best.
I'm very happy to give our new coach the same grace I gave our previous coach when he was in his first season. We need to learn a new way of playing post-Cunningham era and that is going to take time. We are now on our FOURTH halfback pairing of this season, and we are only up to week six. We will be down LMS, Wilkin, Pryce and Soliola with question marks over TP and Cloughie. We haven't had any consistency at all plus moving into a new stadium plus the Eastmond saga ...
I think the reaction of some people on here is laughable, and that is what I was laughing at. If we are still as bad in ten weeks time as we are now then I might begin to have my doubts but really, it's just ridiculous.

Im sure the rest of Wigan will also be happy you are not playimg the same way as we are

wigan are playing a similar brand of rugby as we did in 2006, i'm sure you hated that

Sorry but I disagree, the major difference between the squads is three-fold, 1) Consistency 2) Fitness 3) Team Spirit.
Now whilst the coach can no doubt influence these things he cannot be held accountable for them all, the players themselves and the medical/fitness teams must bear their own amount of responsibility. There have been so many disruptions in the Saints camp since the end of last season and the sooner we reach a level when the team and the coach can concentrate solely on playing good rugby the better. The problem is we are weeks away from that happening and unless we force it to we will continue to see poor performances on the pitch and complaints from fans in threads like this, in the pubs and on the terraces.

those things i would put down, mostly, to the coach AND his staff
No, give me Wire -v- Leeds or Cas -v- us or some other combination of more expansive types of rugby league (and in our case PLEASE NOTE! I am projecting into a hopeful future), with great defence on offer but none of that three/four man in wrestling show.
Hahaha! How many tries did our wingers score last year? How many did you lot score through KFC, Graham, TP or Roby bargeing over? You're a bitter idiot that can't accept Wigan are better than Stains.
