I heard plenty saying 'never again' as they walked away, a friend of mine said he's done with it for this season, and he's a season ticket holder who lives in Widnes.

Pathetic if that is the case. 5 games into the season; clearly a transitional phase for the club; drawn with champions Wigan in a decent comeback; beaten by Wire who are in the top two sides in the comp; beaten by a radically improved Quins who are obviously well drilled and competative. To suggest 'never again' is embarrassing. I hope this is not indicative of the majority as it smacks of real childish petulance.
On the back of the last 15-20 years (?) success and winning of trophies you have been regular top two, grandfinalists, cup winners and finalists I am appalled that anyone reacting like that can call themselves a supporter.
Saints have quality players to comeback and players and coach to gel and settle. It is really early doors yet. I will show my ringpiece in Tesco (again) if you don't finish in the play offs and end up competing for silverware at the back end of the season.
Those dummy spitters ought to try and follow my team, Cas, for even a fraction of the last 26 years as I have, to know what mediocrity and disappointment are all about.

Amazing the attitude of so many of your fans. Spoiled with success IMO. I go to see all Quins home games and a couple of away games each season. Takes me 1.5 hours to get to a home game and just scraping into the playoffs sometimes after a season of struggle and then getting a good thrashing is all we have to look forward to season after season. But we love RL so we keep going. Clearly a good percentage of your fans are just glory hunters. No one expects fans to enjoy a losing streak but to abandon your team after all they have achieved over the years is unbelievable.
God knows how they will cope if they miss the playoffs, although with all your internationals I doubt it will happen.

You attract a die hard crowd of 2,500, 13 of whom travelled to Widnes. They are your stalwarts, rain or shine. We have between 6000 and 8000 of those same type of fans who will turn up, rain or shine. When you can reach those heady numbers then please do feel free to lecture us. Until then, remember you have only won a few matches and there are a lot more weeks of the campaign left. I hope Quins do well this season and that they attract some more fans. But in the meantime ...

but listen to what the man has said, how many of those die hards would there have been, had you not had the success that you have had.

Their club is looked at as a joke by many others, everyone wants to get rid of them, but why.... they still attract 2,500 in a town dominated by every other sport going.

Warrington have had success in recent years, but nowhere near the amount a club like saints have had, yet before that success our away following was just as good as some of the more successful teams in the league. I know that i have been to more grounds in my 16 years following the game(im 21) than some of those saints fans would have been to with the same amount of success as warrington, probably more than some of the saints fans even with your success.

London is massive, and the fact that this guy goes to almost every home game from 1 hour and a half away when that is the amount of time it would take me to travel to 3 away games added together should be applauded and not belittled.

Mate, even when we were total and utter garbage in the latter half of the 20th century we got more turning up at our matches than the Quins do now. S/he really is in no position to get all judgemental here!

And Wire haven't always turned up as well as they do now. Only Wigan around here can justifiably criticise other clubs' fanbases since theirs has consistently been the best turnout locally.

fair, but... read the rest of what i and he has said, he comes from 1 1/2 hours away for a home game, that is commitment. you're fans(granted not all of them) cant be bothered traveling 15 minutes for a home game, that's shocking.

Like I said, the die-hards will turn up, rain or shine.

Oh, and when we played you the journey actually took 45 minutes!

I agree, but Friday's game reminded me how much Saints fans love to complain.

I was queuing up at the north stand turnstiles and there was a steward there to marshall the crowd.
He was saying two things
1) Please queue on the pavement, not the road (sensible enough), and
2) There's more turnstiles further down with no queue.

The gentlemen behind me in the queue start giving it "Who does he think he is, telling us what to do, Adolf Hitler!?", "He's doing my head in" etc.
Then they started complaining about having to queue, saying "They should have more turnstiles open", even though they'd just been told there were gates with no queue 30 seconds walk away. WTF

I then had the pleasure of sitting in front of a man who basically spent 80 minutes going through our team sheet and saying "he's poop" after each name.

You can lecture us when you get the same away support as Wigan take to every game and that was through times thick and thin, at times much worse than you are suffering now! Perhaps we will worry when we have been going 100 plus if we still get the sometimes low attendances you get in one of the Largest Towns in The North West much bigger than Wigan and Warrington population wise!
