I will say this again The Chief we Don't want to lose LMS! but whatever you may think of him he is better than some of your current young players! who have first team experience and they have been brought up on rugby league, LMS started a few seasons back, it shows that youth development is working in London if nothing else. A recent game we had one player not English, some of the other clubs don't do that often.
Im sure you are rightly proud of what Quins are doing from a junior development point of view, especially since the set up, administration and structure of the junior amateur game in London is so far behind the RL hotbed areas. Im not being derogatory, just stating facts on the basis of my experience. Quins are at an obvious disadvantage from that perspective and its a credit to the club that they are bringing players through in such numbers.
That said, I still have my doubts that LMS is as good as people think, but thats just my opinion. Your opinion is such that you believe LMS (at 25) is so good that he is worth the likely increased outlay that he will command over an above playes like our current "props of the future" - such as Clough (23), Hargreaves (24) and Emmitt (21) and when fit, Frodsham (21).
I think its a risk to potentially restrict the opportunities of some of these young players for someone who isnt a "superstar" per se. Look at it like this, would the 4 players mentioned above learn more and develop quicker having worked with
a player like Josh Perry or Willie Mason compared to LMS?
