I don't think Manu would be a good buy, period.

He was a dreadful panic buy, it reminds me of when we needed a bruiser prop and bought Barry Ward! , we needed (and still need) an experienced quality halfback to help bring on a develop the 2 quality young players we have in Gaskell and Lomax , we dont need some 29 year old utility player who fancies playing halfback.

TBF The Barry Ward thing is a bit ott because Lance is a good player but we simply didnt need a player like him, especially when we are in desperate need in other specialist area's

Thats because you wouldnt know a talented player if he was called Talent McTalent , played for Talent Utd and danced around on your front lawn with big 'I'm talented' sign stuck to his a$$

Coming from the Woman who thinks we should have stuck with Royce refuses to see we have improved under Rush and KC I think I'll take your view on Manu with a pinch of salt.

Shocking decision to sign him!

If he was signed as a fullback then fair enough but as a halfback is just shocking.

FB, well I think you are included with quite a few others including myself in being cheerleaders for Makinson at FB, so we can't play em both.

Hooker, well that is a chunk of cash to be throwing at a hooker to replace Roby for 20 mins a match.

LF: is an option but not really a great option.

In the end there is not a lot of need for him he was a panic buy where as Manu is not a panic buy, he's a quality player and is coming in to replace Flannery and maybe dixon, so there is space in the 2nd row. He maybe costing more than the player he is replacing, but it is a like for like replacement. Where as Lance was a square peg for a round hole.

I quite like the idea of him coming on from the bench and either giving Roby a brief rest or letting him moved to 13 for a spell. He can also provide cover for alot of positions.

The squad as it stands though I'd consider throwing him at fullback too with Makinson keeping a wing spot for the moment. He has loads of game time there and I think he'd offer more than Wello

It's a real shame Pryce's injury record was so poor for his latter time with us or McManus might have offered him the right deal. He's streets ahead of Lance at 6

I like the idea of him coming on for Roby too, but there is the question of how much you pay someone to take on that role. I have no idea of wages, but I would be surprised if Lance was not in the top 5 and for someone to play 20mins but be a top 5 wage earner would seam a little OTT.

This year yes FB would be an ideal slot for him.

PS ass would be in my personel list of permitted pre watershed words, but if in any doubt pick a different one, don't try to dodge the filters with $$.

I've put a sticky on about language. This is not a swear word for mine, but it is open to discretion so either use the word or don't. Butt is a good alternative, if ass is not permitted.

All points to him being a poor signing, if we'd have let Wello go and brought in Lance on a 2 year deal to help develop the likes of Makinson or Swift I would have been happy , sadly we didnt and as you say I bet were paying him International halfback wages

Why have him in bench to take over robes? He's a fullback not a hooker, he looked poor at hooker as well and we'd be doing exactly what we doing with him now which is playing him just for sake of it!

For me, if he don't play fullback then don't play him at all.
