I agree that we've been fairly crap in the sl era but that is history, like one trophy during the first half of the club's existence (ie Saints).
A club's successful record over the past 3/4/5 years has more of a relevance and feel good factor than one where the fans constantly have to bring up the distant past in order to support a point of view.

Mentioning the first 50 years of our existence is a bit desperate. Slagging each other's teams off is what fans do, but you have to pick a fight you can win...like who's got the best 'Next', 'Marks & Spencer' or shopping centre. You can hold your heads up high on them things but you're always gonna come off 2nd best if you try to compare success between the rugby clubs.
