Just watched it. Ta for the link YG. Saintsfan is, as usual, talking complete turd. I have to say I agree with Albion. I was expecting a completely different interview to the one I watched. Question to Mods - Why do you let posters openly LIE and get away with it. There is no room for interpretation in the interview and she has posted complete untruths about it.

I didn't speak untruths. Boots n All used to be posted on the Sky website so as far as I know you could have checked it for yourself, or even watched one of the repeats.

The link wasn't the interview on Boots n All. The interview on the link was about 10 times longer than the one I saw. Editing has an effect.

I wasn't openly lying. I wasn't lying at all. I only had the Boots n All interview to go on. Fact. But watching the much, much longer interview on the Sky website just confirms what I was thinking anyway.

At no point on the full interview did he criticise the fans or instruct us to be rational. Therefore in the shortened version you saw he can't have said it either. You claimed he did. You lied. It's very simple.

We can only moderate on the AUP.

Also it has not been reported.

There is nothing on the AUP about lying, misinterpreting, spinning a yarn, or having certain agenda's


We moderate on the AUP and that's it, if you feel there is an element that a post contravenes. Then report post with the rule you think it breaks 1.1 - 5.1.


But seriously look, nothing here is covered in the AUP.

If there are any questions whilst I appreciate a thread is a nice place to post them, PM's are much better. As posting on threads tends to lead to 1 of 3 things.
1. Threads being derailed
2. Questioning of the moderation process ( which in itself is against the AUP)

Lets keep it on the interview and what was said, happy to answer any PM's about moderation, within reason. But lets keep it off the boards.

No. The fans. He was indeed instructing us to be rational (and hold our nerve). Just because he includes himself in his speech does not exclude the fans. The longer version, which I have only just watched, simply reinforced my belief that all his comments, like the statements preceeding it (and the press push in the local rags) was all about the fans and their attitude, and yes that also included digs, be they couched or direct.

He said he wanted to bring rationality to the whole situation. That could be aimed at fans, the media, players, coaching staff, shareholders, the board, his auntie jean, who knows!? You have assumed he meant the fans because it suits your agenda against him. Lets face it, unless Royce is reinstated and Gaskell named skipper, you will continue to whine and moan like a petulant little child and continue to make yourself the laughing stock of these boards. Literally nobody values your opinion or considers anything you say to be anything but complete and utter nonsense.

You really do not realise how childish your last sentence reads. It just made me laugh!

I know what McManus was saying. He is a clever man and that is why he managed to reach the top 50 bankers in the world in his prime. You don't achieve that in your life by talking candidly to the media, even the rugby league media (which is wimpy when compared to the media from pretty much every other organisation or area of life). I could offer you a direct translation of what he was saying if you like?

Haha. So because you are a teacher you automatically understand the English language better than I do? You know nothing about me, my education or my profession. I don't require a translation. I know what he said, I know what you are trying to convince others to think he said. Everyone can see through you.
