I just think this site is moderated in a more rational way. The above post by our Wigan friend highlights this. We all get frustrated with Saints because we got used to winning over a period of time. This site in general seems to have a more mature age group who have supported through various periods. Also this site tends to not allow the club and its players to be dragged through the mud by outsiders. Its all opinion I hope that puts it to bed.

I'm not sure if your praising Rogues , in which case your dumb or insane or suggesting he stick to Redvee!? The mods on all sites work differently even on RLFANS , redvee is probably a little more extreme at times but if thats where people's thoughts are then it's interesting to see and read.

Wigan's 19 man squad:

Burke, Charnley, Crosby, Dudson, Farrell, Flower, Gelling, Goulding, Green, Hampshire, Hughes, McIlorum, Mossop, S Powell, Richards, Smith, Taylor, L Tomkins, Tuson

S Tomkins, Hansen & O'Loughlin all missing from that.

Fact that Sammie and Lockers are out is a big boost for us. Kind of evens up the fact that we are missing Roby and Soliola.

I'm feeling a lot more confident now that them two are officially missing.

Mick Mac is in. We need to use that to our advantage. The guy is a walking hot head. 1st minutes lay a big hit on him he will retaliate and lose his head no doubt ending him either getting subbed by Wane or sent off. Hit him hard and high. If we give a penalty away then so be it, we will reap the rewards later on. The guy is too aggressive for his own good. COYS! !!!

Your saying wind up Mic Mac, hit him hard and high!
We had four games between us last year and only one ended with 13 men on the field at 80 mins.
Shenton got binned at your place, God knows who got sent off at Etihad and Mic Mac was sent off at the DW.
I prefer a game where its 13 a side for 80 mins.
Most of us want a full on game, not 13 v12, some of those can be entertaining others awful like last years Etihad after the sendings off, 12 v 11 no thanks!

I don't care if its 12 vs 8 as long as saints win.

McIlorum is on a short fuse , if we can make it so he's more interested in a fight than playing your 1 man down regardless of if he get sent off or not. He is weak link and we should be looking to expose him

Piece of p*ss then, makes you wonder why Saints are where they are. We all like to be armchair coaches and if they only did what we advised they would do much better. TBH on this one I would wait till I saw the team sheets, and then give the game 20 minutes first. I just hope it’s a good game with plenty of incident so we all can have a good punch-up on these boards. It’s the spice of life. Good luck to Saints I hope you can kick start your season soon, but not too soon!

It wouldn't surprise me if he still plays, but Tomkins is a huge blow for Wigan if he doesn't. Take away his threat out the back and they struggle. Their whole attacking structure is based on his threat from Full-Back, and it's no coincidence that their Back-Rowers and 3/4 are receiving the plaudits they are. When he isn't there they are pretty average and stats back that up. They struggle without him.

Unfortunately we are without our two strike weapons which makes it pretty even in my opinion.
