St Helens coach Nathan Disco Brown:"I can't fault our effort, but we never got in the contest. It was our most disappointing performance since I've been here.
"Our attack was poor. They kept kicking the ball behind our wingers and we did it once. They kept forcing us into errors and we weren't smart.
"It was disappointing for the fans because we are capable of better than that. We had been building along nicely recently but we have taken a step backwards."I sometimes wonder if he's watching the same game as the rest of us. He might not be able to fault the effort but I bl00dy well can. At times I wish he'd just be honest and just say we were terrible.
Compare that to
Wigan coach Shaun Apeman Wane:"It was a poor performance. I thought Castleford were really good. They defended well and handled the conditions better than us.
"I want to commend them because Daryl Powell has done a great job while he has been there and the best team won. Castleford are the best team we have had here.
"We lacked a bit of energy and, if that is because of last Monday, then I expect us to get over that. We are better than that and it will never be used as an excuse. I still expect us to perform."The more I think about it the less confidence I have in Brown. When the players praise him it might because he's technically great or because he's a top bloke but I'd rather have a winner any day of the week.
