Another thing on Thompson, I haven't seen him play for a couple of years, but if he has beefed up he could easily play prop.

He looks a big unit from what I've seen.

You would think so given how they have described him in the article:

'Brown revealed that half-back Nathan Ashe will also get extended game time at the Twickenham Stoop.'

I think we'll see Makinson get shifted to the wing for either Ashe or Hohaia to play #1.

Don't know what the point in that would be if I'm honest.

All the work that Makinson has done at FB should see him continue there. His best game at FB was last week and it would be a shame to move him just as he seems to have shown signs of improvement.

Think on the wings we will see Swift and either Turner or Percival who will probably move there to cover for the short term whilst Gardner is out, at least. With Jones moving to centre.

IMO Makinson needs to stay where he is. Aside from his improvement in the position, that is just unnecessary disruption in a team that is already disrupted every week anyway and will be much more so this week with the absence of Wilkin. We need to just go with Swift on whichever wing he has played in before (so at least he has a general idea of which way to pass the ball!) and put either Turner or Percival on the other wing, although I'm inclined to say Turner as Percival being the less experienced player needs some consistency.

I wish I could remember which side Dixon plays on because whichever side he is on is the side we need a particularly good defence.

We are going to miss Wilkin's contribution to defence.

I am not looking forward to the scoreline for this match.

He has altered between the right and left wing this season, more recently been playing on the left.

For sale full Saints kit (circa 1989). Shirts in pristine condition, but shorts badly soiled.

For 27 - 0 you get a trophy
For 75 - 0 you get sod all.

Wigan had eight in a row

Because whichever side of the field he plays on is the side Saints need to attack.

Personally I'd play Percy and Turner down the right with Turner on the wing. That combo would rip Dixon a new one and would score a few points. It also has the pace to handle him in defence.

I was going to suggest Dixon was lucky that Meli was out, as he'd give him a torrid time. Whilst he's obviously got some goods in attack, he's reportadly error prone and not great when faced with a physical winger - See Dixon vs Alex Brown.
