He did take his oppotunity to score an 80m try though. One that Gardner may well not have.
I wasn't at the match, so I didn't see his performance as a whole.

That's fair enough, but on the whole he wasn't that impressive IMO. Took his try well, but it was basically a free run after a sloppy pass.

It's quite possible Gardner may have intercepted (although I have never seen him do so) but there is no way he would have scored that try! The opposition would have caught him easily.

Challenge Cup semi final v Huddersfield at Warrington. Glorious sunshine and Ade Gardner goes 80m like a gazelle. Gardner would also have scored the winner against Catalans rather than flap at the pass like a newb.

I was there that game and it was impressive. If it were me I would line up like this

FB: Makinson
RW: Gardner
RC: Turner
LC: Percival
LW: Meli
SO: Hohaia
SH: Wilkin
PF: Puletua
HK: Howarth
PF: Walmsley
SR: Soliola
SR: Jones
LF: Lafrancchi

INT: Clough
INT: Forster
INT: McCarthy-Scarsbrook
INT: Greenwood

Play Lafrancchi at loose forward as an agile(ish) forward. Forster, Clough and Greenwood interchange with Walmsley, Puletua, and anyone in the second row and LMS Interchange with Lafrancchi. If an injury occurs in the backs (EG; Gardner) move T-Mak to Wing, Hohaia to FB and Jones into Centre with Turner moving to Stand Off.
