But Lomax is ripping it up in the halves. I think his rumbustuous, fearless approach to playing at the line is great.
Makinson seems to have more sheer pace, which would be good for exploiting space out wide.

As I said ealier this week. Wellens looks as though he's about to keel over - give him a rest against wakey and let Makinson have a run at #1.

imo lomax is better at full back then the half yes he is great at running at the line but is passing is not very good and his kicking is worse and if wellens was to be rested this week lomax would more to full back with gaskell play in the halfs with pryce if fit if not then eastmond

His lack of long kicking game is a shame, but his short kicking is good. I think he'd be a good full back, don't get me wrong, but I'd rather see makinson get a chance at #1 than Eastmond promoted to starting at #7, if we're talking about building for the future.

Makinson is a fullback IMO and should play there with Wellens moving to 13, Puletua to prop.

So many people mention it that I'm intrigued to see it. However, I don't know what he would bring to the role that wouldn't be massively eclipsed by the abilities of Flanders, Wilkin and Soliola and am not even convinced he'd be a better bet than Dicko.
