It's a shame we didn't give Meli a run in the centres a little earlier. He's looked a little unsure from time to time in defence in that position, but he's given us a bit of pace and strike power in the line, which is something we've been missing. As it stands I don't think we'll have enough time to see whether he'd ultimately be a success in that position. I'd be pretty happy if Meli stayed, but not particularly gutted if he went.
I've got plenty of time for Flannery, but I think it's fair to say that our selection of young back rowers, combined with the fact that he takes up a quota spot, will see him move elsewhere.
