We did well. Still not a great fan of kicking on the 3rd tackle though. Looks like we went to split halfs again when Turner came on. Overall a vast improvement on previous weeks. Also I think that week off has helped.

I think the kicking early was vindicated tonight. When you're kicking on the front foot from a decent play the ball, and you've got a few kicking options, it's a really good way to find space. I may be wrong but I think we were 50 minutes in before Golding reached a territorial kick on the full.

Still some very worrying signs. Just before half time when Leeds scored we had 2 sets of in Leeds half. In the second set of 6 Alex Walmsley took 4 tackles out of the 6.

Still a quality side that Leeds put out tonight so very happy we turned them over. We have to aim for second place, that has to be our ambition now, not just squeezing into the top 4 which was the the kind of talk KC was coming out with the other week.

Saints have got to back themselves against Cas next Thursday. Cas look like they're running out of steam a bit.

Can we just leave Masoe out now? I don't think we need him for the run in.

It is obvious to me that Leeds are trying to engineer a Saints v Wigan semi-final. Anybody who knows anything about rugby league should have been putting their mortgage on Leeds to win at Wembley and Saints to win last evening.

2nd or 3rd very little difference.

I still think it's Leeds year but happy that we are getting back on track a bit more

I disagree, third or fourth there is a difference and I don't think it is Leeds year.

It only takes one big win to turn a team around completely. Happened earlier this season when Huddersfield lost three or four on the bounce.

A bit of luck with injuries. Not so much for the other teams. Old Trafford is anyone's.

The whole thing is a complete fiasco. Three tries given in two games by the video referee which IMO beggar belief.

In the case of Josh Jones we have the video ref ruling for a try despite NEVER seeing the ball grounded at any point. Deferring to the ref's hunch is a sophist's cop-out given that the video referee was brought in precisely BECAUSE refs were making so many bad calls. As for the other two - what next, grounding at the end of a hair follicle? A bead of sweat?

I keep hearing people saying, "You don't need control of the ball" without ever stopping to think how stupid scoring without control of the ball sounds. Especially since Rugby League is a game centered upon ball control.

IMO it should be palm of the hand in full contact with the ball - all the way down - or nothing.

Well done saints, thought you guys stood up last night. Wasn't a classic by anyones standard but Walsh ran the show as the game went on and your forwards dominated us.
