Agreed. We have to start strongly and lay a marker down from the off. Line speed in defence has to be at its best and our kicking game has to pin them in their own 20 early in the sets. Its not going to be rocket science, seeing as this will be Catalans third tough away game on the bounce, with the amount of effort they are putting in coupled with the travelling, our week off last week must surely work in our favour.

The worry is that often the team who have had the week off start slowly and we cant let that happen. If we let them get into an early lead, their tails will be up and they could play the rest of the game on emotion. Kill them off with a couple of early tries and mentally, that will be a tough hole to pull themselves out of after the last 2 games.

I'd still much rather lose this game gracefully than get to the Final. I can't face another trip to OT and seeing them lose to Wigan, or especially Warrington.

Just think if we reach the final and go on to win, do you really want to chance missing that.

But as roader says, a fan as committed as I cannot do such a thing. I've been to 91% of Saints games since 1984, we actually worked that out recently when we were reminiscing about my old man. I can't just not go to a final.. I suppose with such utterly low expectations I can't really be let down at OT. Oh for Walsh and Burns now

I've mentioned previously that we should be ready for a war, especially after the damp squib of the last game. If we can perform like we did against Cas for the full 80 we will win comfortably, but it's going to be far more difficult to do so this time around. That said we are the much fresher team and Catalans have had by far the harder route to this point.
