I can understand wanting to give season ticket holders first choice on seats, but I wonder if in hindsight it would just have been easier to do unallocated seating for this event, with the short turn around. That way people can sit with whom they like, but it's not down to the club to manage.
Just turn up in plenty of time to get your pick.
It would just be easier to have a system that allowed people to use the ticket they already have, activated for the additional games.
For season ticket holders they have extended the deadline until 5-00pm today, so maybe confirmation of transaction will go out after today.
I,m not sure if they can put the play off system onto the season ticket, is the gate receipts split preportionally between the top 8 clubs, I can't remember.
I went on the site to get my season ticket seats which where showing as gone. Put me in a bad moon so i text my dad saying the seats had gone at about 9am.
Lets say 8000 fans and 6000 transactions , say it takes average 3 mins for each transaction thats 18000 mins. Being optomistic 6 staff to take calls or visits so thats 3000 mins or 50 hours. Club opens 8 hour working day so its going to take 6 working days which will be Saturday early evening.
unable to get through in the time I had today, still unable to buy my seats online, and I assume it hasn't been released to general sale yet as I think it would be there.
My ticket booking now showing in my account 5-16 pm today, don,t know if its being posted or pick up at office. At least I have a booking reference in case my ticket goes AWOL.
