Watching SL Full time last night, I'm not sure the shoulder hits him on the head.

I think the contact is shoulder to shoulder, but since the froggy is a bigger guy the wall created by his shoulder goes up higher than O'Briens. When they come together, this means that the point of his shoulder is in the vacinity of O'Brien's head, but I'm unsure of any real contact - I think the concussion could have been caused by the whiplash effect of being completely clattered when relaxed.

Its still a late tackle, so still illegal, but I think its another bit of evidence that O'Brien needs to learn to look after himself better.

Not a complete player by any means, if we can't find anyone else, a year in loan alongside our new 7 may improve a lot of his game, then we'll see

On the Salford board, an "in the know" Cas fan says that the deal for Chase to Salford is done and Cas have the option of a £250K transfer fee or £225K + Marc Sneyd.

£25K for Syned!? Sounds like a bargain to me. Very good player and one that would fit into our squad quite well.

Apparently he's not keen on going to Cas, but I'd wager he'd fancy a move to Saints, especially if Salford get Chase.

If we loaned him again it would need to include him being able to play against Dire and not have a recall facility unless both sides agree. Without those 2 things I wouldn't bother as if we are going well we would be giving Dire the power to derail us

Anyway I've been impressed with him over the past couple of weeks. Plays at the line and provides a level of class that we lacked earlier on in the season. As people have said hes not the finished article but he's good enough for me.

I guess its always debatable the how realistic value placed on players in "part-ex" transfers is.
