We can be bold enough to make a stand and do battle for our views and beliefs. But we must strive to be mature enough not to resort to unnecessary personal attacks upon people with opposing views.

Could it be argued that because teams go left to right, then Turner is going to get tested more often and therefore looks worse defensively, but actually it just where most teams put in their best efforts??

4000 for a friendly is not bad at all.

Our left (Lomax, Jones and Meli) looked really strong defensively. Lomax especially kept Cudjoe quiet. Turner did look a bit dodgy and got caught out a few times, but his goal kicking's a bonus.

Also, how many penalties did Huddersfield concede? At least 5 for incorrect play the ball! :?

To reconcile respect with practicality, what is the optimum speed for a hearse?

Success is not final; failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. (Winston Churchill)

Walmsley looked ok, ran the ball well and looked eager to be involved. The only criticism from last night was his fitness: played the last 20 of the first half and the first 20 of the second half and he was out on his feet, more so than anyone else. But I suppose that's understandable really.

It's going to take him a while to get up to speed. He was only in the Championship a year. 18 months ago he was playing amateur RL. That's a meteoric rise and so IMO we shouldn't be expecting too much of him for a few months.

So I don't know whether that means that Hohaia will be rotated with Wellens this season?

That could be good because Hohaia really gave us a spark when he came on. I know he wants to play at 6 but he's a fullback, and a good one too.

It was nothing to get too excited about but last night we looked like a coached side - cannot remember the last time we looked like that

2011 friendly against Hudds at Widnes. Although we lost the match we looked outstanding.

Jordan Hand and Alex Walmsley are big units and both made yards in the collision which was great .

Good that Hand looks, er, Handy given that 3 of our senior front rowers are getting on a bit.
Did Wlaker and Forster feature? How dis they look?

Gutted I missed this one as I'd originally planned to go. I'm missing my rugby league fix.

Hand really caught my eye last night, carried the ball in well and reguraly, and was aggressive in contact.

Walker got some game time in the second half, nothing fancy from him and didn't do anything wrong, and I like the look of Forster every time I see him.

Joe Greenwood was outstanding last night, and will be pushing for a first team place over the next couple of years if he can keep up that sort of form.

Apparently they both did but I can't give you an opinion on them, sorry, as by the time they came on I'd pretty much lost track of who was who! I'm sure others who know them better would have recognised them and will be able to comment.

The stand out player for me out of the younger guys last night was Greenwood thought he was outstanding last night made lots of yards with the ball and was pretty good in defence one to watch over next couple of season and he is a big lad too
