Now that the club have put the South stand silver seats on the website, we can see better how sales are going.
These are the figures as of 22nd October 2011 for what is now Silver seating
C block just 23 seats sold
D block 45 seats unsold
H block 6 seats unsold
I block 190 sets unsold
The figures for 2012 as of 6th November are as follows
C block 81 seat sold. This is 58 more sold than in 2011
D block 57 seats unsold. This is 12 more seats remaining than in 2011
H block 23 seats unsold. This is 17 more seats remaining than in 2011
I block 129 seats unsold. This is 61 fewer seats remaining than in 2011
Consequently there is a net gain of seats sold in these blocks of 90 seats sold
If we then look at Gold blocks in the south stand
In 2011 there was 1 seat unsold in E block and 3 unsold in g block
In 2012 the figures for unsold are 13 and 15 respectively.
This therefore represents a drop of 24 sales from 2011
Overall therefore there are currently 66 more sales in the South stand reserved sections than there were in these blocks in 2011.
The picture therefore appearing is of a small drop in North stand sales, somewhat offset by an increase in South stand season ticket sales.
Its also clear that people are shying away from sitting in the front rows of the stands, probably because they discovered they were getting wet in the new stadium, and instead are preferring to chose seats nearer the back of stands in blocks closer to the try lines. These seats are more likely to keep you dry and are also cheaper.
