What he is saying is that you said it has nothing to do with feelings. You then also said we don't need to rub their noses in it, implying not to hurt their feelings. That is quite clearly contradictory.

I wasn't implying anything but he may have inferred something.

I'm quite clear what the word 'sporting' means and it's about our attitude, not their feelings. I wouldn't know what hurt their feelings. Being hammered 100-0 might not hurt their feelings but it still wouldn't be sporting of us.

Anyway regardless of the English, I'm with Saints fan on this one, no need to send out everyone against Oldham when we will be resting other players during the exiles matches.

We should play our strongest team ala Wigan from last round and then we might have the best player in the world playing for us

I'll be disappointed if we send anything but a full team out. We should send them all out and if we stick 100 on em.. then we get our monies worth. Why would any of you want to see a weakened team ? we're not exactly firing on all cylinders at the moment and more time playing together is needed IMO.

Difference is, we don't need to prove we have the best player in the world playing for us by beating opposition two divisions lower by 94 points. We already KNOW we have the best player in the world. We are secure, unlike that fragile lot over the lump.

Well, according to Mike Rush in League Weekly today, you will have your wish.

To me, a team minus a few of our big guns would not have been weakened. We got to the Grand Final last season on less. I have faith in our young players and think so long as we had kept experienced players in key places, plus a couple of our big guns up front (LMS and Laffranchi) we would have been far too strong for Oldham to trouble us. However, our present regime think smashing a team two leagues lower is the way forward so who am I to argue.
