To be honest I haven't seen a genuine spear tackle in a long time. The ones that tend to get cited these days are 'legs above horizontal' which is an altogether different beast. Peackock's looked quite bad the other day but even in that one the player wasn't driven into the ground, although he did land on his neck. The tough policing of this offence has, in reality, all but eradicated it.

As for the 3rd man in around the legs; you do realise it's not an offence to do that, don't you? Never has been and never will be. Even if you're not familiar with the rules, the fact that it is never cited should give you a bit of a clue! I think you need to take up watching another sport if this is bothering you so much. Maybe boxing. However I suggest you don't start complaining to other boxing fans that those nasty men keep hitting each other. Just saying...

If an all out brawl broke out on the field during the game then surely that would be the ideal opportunity for all 13 players from the other side to form a single line and take it in turn to belt him

I can't help feel the Saints team at the moment is just a bit too nice for it's own good. They seem to have a lot of blokes that you'd rather go for a pint with and slap them on the back then in the face. Even the big bug*ers like Puletua and Soliola seem good eggs.

Perry could get there but he'd have to find some form first.

I'd be inclined to agree, we are certainly missing characters like Longy, Tommy and KC. I'd take Sam Tomkins to Saints in a heart beat but you can keep Hock, he's a time bomb , the guy is a talented Rugby player with the IQ of a retarded flea

2.Gareth Hock - Loads of talent and no brain
3.Sam Tomkins - very good player but a wind up merchant.

I'd have Hock in a heartbeat. Have always rated him as the most destructive back rower in SL (alongside Willie Manu) and haven't changed my mind since he came back.

His only problem is that along with being the most destructive back rower, he's the most self-destructive player.

Problem is you cant pick and choose, you get the whole package. We offloaded Scott Moore for less

The RL disciplinary committee get all 3 slaps from me. It'd take a lot more than that to try and beat some basic competence into the clowns, but at least it'd be a start.

The canonball tackle is an offence though isn't it? As I understand it that tackle is when a player runs hard into the legs as third man.

Nobody really. If pushed that sports lawyer who I cannot name because he threatens sites with law suits. Also there was a RL charity that was getting money for somebody who had an injury via RL (that left with permanent physical difficulties that affected their ability to carry out normal everyday actitivities) that used to do similar despite such free sites supporting their charity bids by giving them free publicity. The person who decided that was a reasonable course of action.

Don't bother speculating on who they are (I don't think that charity operates anymore).

Most of the players who pull on the shirt I have nothing but admiration for. I have less to zero admiration for some i.e. the wife beater, physically assaulting types, but would prefer to rehabilitate than slap them because I'm like that i.e. I'm more Yoda than Darth.
