I was at Ade's forum last Tuesday and the question of pace came up. Makinson and Wheeler were also there with Ade and Lance. Ade himself said that Lance won the time trials. He is a pacey little bugger. And yes, he beat Makinson as well and we know how fast Makinson is because we've seen him at full pelt.
He's not fast sat on the bench. He has a No.6 on his shirt and that is where he should be playing. If he makes an ass of it then that is the time to move him and not before. Simmons has messed around with the team quite enough this year. How on earth can they play well with all the swopping and changing. In four games now they havn't played with the same two halfbacks for the full eighty in any one match. What chance have they got to form a partnership ?

Half back wise we had everything, on Friday from the Saints lads, first try gaskell grubber for Foster half breaks from gaskell and lomax full breaks from lomax offloaded to La Franki to score.
Going forwards and scoring is not the issue. We have the best attack in the league.
I get the need for experience to control the side when it goes pete tong. Lance can do that from FB.
I think we have been harsh on Lance, me included, but I suppose that's because we have not seen him do much when we are expecting a world beater. But it is only the 4th game, Perrys has had much longer and still gets the benefit of the doubt. Sia was out for a full season and no one would replace him now. So I suppose there is the settling arguement.
If there is one player I've changed my mind on it's foster, I don't think he is as bad as he is at present, but I'm also not into playing him if his head has gone in terms of catching and defending. I'd rather that was ironed out in the reserves and then drip fed back into the first team for non-televised, less high profile games.
Lomax, Makinson, Shenton, Wheeler, Ade, Lomax, Gaskell. (wellens as back on the bench, or maybe meli.) Pack just needs to up it's game, as a collective unit.

Spot on, but only because IMO his confidence is shot. He badly wants to do well for his team as he wants to play for Saints but I think he has become overly anxious and his exposure to the public has done him no favours. There was some real abuse coming from the West Stand fans on Friday night and he never recovered from letting that first try in, yet he had had a good first half.

You really have fabricated this theory about him. I swear it is worse than Karl Pilkington. You don't know any of this stuff, are just adding what you want to believe and, in fact, the evidence points to the contrary.
Have you read any of his tweets? or, as you're a female and he has a proven track record of doing it, has he asked you for 'personal' picture over twitter yet?

Yeah, seems like he is shook senseless.
Not to come to Saints fans defense, but are you seriously suggesting that people post what they know, and not just their thoughts and opinions? That's a bit hypocritical, given that you post on here and so are posting your own theory's, just adding what YOU believe.
Saints fan is a fanatic, but she can post her own theorys just like you can. Saying they are theorys makes them no less valid than your own.
You may think Jamie is a wonder horse, or a shirehorse, but it's still your theory. Personally I think he is a decent player, and play 6 to 12 months decent in defence and under the high ball, from what I've seen that has left his game, assuming he does not have some degenerative disease then reaquiring that skill is a matter of practise practise practise and having the psychology to handle it.
You may think he has never been a catcher of the high ball and has always been weak in defense, but just because you think it does not make it so, just as me thinking the opposite does not make it so.

Reading that post has made me think back to when foster first came in AA a very very skinny lad.
At first he did struggle with his defence and his catching under the high ball was pretty poor which resulted in the years he cried at Salford.
He went away and put his head together and came back a very very good player, his defense was better and under the kicks he's was basically top class as the kick her caught in the last min at the DW proves.
To me, that says he needs to gather his thoughts and get his head right againike he did in the past. It's clear he can tackle and it's clear he can catch but it's either a mental thing or confidence.
IMO Royce or KP need to take him to one side and tell him he's not being dropped but a few games in the u20s might do him the world of good.

Fair point but, and I forget the saying, but if something looks like a duck, swims like a duck and quacks like a duck; fair bet, it's a duck.
Jamie Foster appears, for lack of a better word, spoilt. He isn't humble. Is a big mouth on twitter, a lot of the time is looking to get his end away with fans. He is turning into the Chris Brown (minus the domestic abuse) of rugby league.

When did you ever stick up for Jamie Foster?
What I'd like to happen is for Jamie to be dropped to the u20s for a while not as a punishment but to protect him from the inordinately hostile attention he receives the minute he makes a mistake which, in turn, knocks his confidence and leads him to making more mistakes. The guy is desperate to do well for Saints and his anxiety is clear to see when he messes up. To top that off he has to deal with rabid halfwit Saints fans getting on his case like he is the sole reason for the team being useless in defence for the second week running to the point of handing over a great lead.
Once out of the limelight for a while he can refocus on his game and rebuild his confidence, and then when he returns to the first team he needs to be placed on the outside of Shenton.
That's what I would do with Foster.
When you say things like 'rabid saints fans' are the reason for his poor form and then without any evidence (except for ' his head went down') say things like ' The guy is desperate to do well for Saints and his anxiety is clear' when he really hasn't shown any examples, is just conjecture... spurious conjecture. If she wants to believe that he's a goody two shoes and is some great victim, so be it. However, the most likely reason for his poor form is lack of application.

He's not trying to get his end away with fans, it's called banter.
Off the field he does come across as flash with his car, his clothes and his hairstyle but I've seen the time he spends with young kids a blackbrook showing then how to kick and showing them his famous trust Leeds.
He's a good lad towards his grandad and nan and don't go out getting in trouble .
