The drink (Saints Gold) is really quite good. It's about as good a keg as you can get anywhere in a stadium venue and at £2.80 not badly priced.
The food though.............I had a peters "steak" pie on Friday before the game. I was happy to pay £3 as my view is its all going to an excellent cause (the Club) so if its overpriced, well I'm not too bothered.
My mistake though was assuming that it was a) steak and b) in any way edible.
I tried my best to eat it but the meat was as tough as boot leather and surrounded by fat, mixed in with grizzle.
Did I just get a bad pie? Unfortunately not - as I approached a bin, two other guys were also binning their steak pies and were extremely vocal in their disappointment to say the least. We were then joined by a third guy who was also binning his pie who had equally strong views.
I am in my 50's and can honestly say it was the worst pie I've ever come across. (the best pies are Blackburn's from cambridge road which I stock up on when I come over from direland).
Sorry for the moan - please don't burn me at the stake (no pun intended) for heresy or even worse don't make me eat another of those chuffin' pies. I'm trying one of those massive hot dog thingys at our next home game.

No-one is going to burn you at the stake here, but have you put a constructive complaint in to the club itself? If you want to see an improvement its the best way to get one, especially if its from two dozen blokes emailing them rather than standing around a bin grumbling
