If we're doing scores on the doors...
Hohaia 5 (busy but mostly ineffectual, too keen to pass when returning kicks)
Gardner 6 (decent workrate & had to cover Meli's brainfarts, but no threat with ball in hand)
Meli 4 (can look good at times when attacking but all over the place in defence)
Wheeler 7 (one of few players to shine in 1st half, looked a class act, faded a bit in 2nd but always busy)
Makinson 6 (solid game, some flashes of good play - especially defence when offering the outside)
Lomax 6 (tried hard, but too often didn't make things tick. Improved in 2nd half)
Gaskell 7 (as with Lomax, came more and more into the game after the break. Some class touches)
Laffranchi 6 (another who struggled in the 1st half, but looked much improved in his later spells)
Roby, 8 (drove the team on and grew better and better)
Puletua, 6 (involved a lot when on, but lacking spark and very few offloads)
Soliola, 7 (some big hit-ups, but drifted in and out of game, especially in 1st half, and missed some tackles)
Flannery 3 (added nothing to the team, looks even slower)
Wilkin 5 (not much came off and too easy to put down)
Perry 4 (poor 1st half, but offered more later, before tiring. Needs to get fit)
Clough 6 (added pace to a lumbering pack when came on)
Dixon 8 (another who helped the team spark into life when came on & took tries well)
Ashe
Overall, both teams were unrecognisable in the 2nd half compared to their 1st half showing. Salford were hugely unlicky to go in just 10-4 up (Soliola lucky to get given BotD, and the Salford disallowed try could easily have been given) and a bigger differential may have led Saints to panic a bit, leading to a different end result.
Lots of work to do IMO.
