One wonders if Hull KR knew about the implications of deregistering him, or whether they assumed it would be a purely paper exercise and that they would just continue to pay him as normal until he was re-registered. It would seem that Hull KR have had to enter into a compromise agreement with Dobson and will re-sign him on a new deal in due course. I guess he would then need to re-apply for his own VISA?

But what happens if Mason's dodgy passport doesn't arrive?

Come on Saints, chance your arm, you never know. They did a similar sort of thing to us with Paul Cooke, it would be nice to see them get a taste of their own medicine!!

Rollocks. If Hull KR lose Dobson in this mess, they've no one to blame but themselves - all for a 30+ aussie who couldn't be arsed to turn up for the start of the season.

Would be probably the best signing in a few years for us, he has everything that we need (kicking at goal, kicks in open play, attacking prowess etc)

It would also give us the knowledge that we are secure after KE leaves. There is no reason why we shouldnt sign him.

It would serve HKR right if ourselves or someone did pick him up and Mason decided he wanted out! Its quite possible as Dobson has no real chance of trophies at HKR, where as here he has at least a chance!

Unless we've already signed someone for that position to start next season. Club not announced it yet.

You do talk some utter tosh at times. Its Hull KR's own fault if somebody else signs him. You still bitter we signed LMS by any chance?

Well presumably there will be some kind of agreement in place between the club and the player, but it seems to me that HKR are taking quite a gamble on Dobson's loyalty. I must say it would be a little bit of justice for their ridiculous recruitment policy if they lost him.
