Jake Emmitt was on dual reg at Leigh also and he played in the Grand Final for us, so you never know.

Very true, however it is strange to see a coach making plans for a dual reg player before the season has started.

Is it? To be honest, I'd fully expect a coach to make full plans for all his players. Even ones that were on dual registrations. The clue is in the title.

The quote clearly states in 2011 though.

I am not suggesting he shouldn't make long term plans for Armstrong, indeed he should. I am saying I find it strange that plans are being made when Armstrong isn't expected to be with us in 2011. I was under the impression that Armstrong would only be called back if he was needed due to injury etc...

I am sure there will be times through the season where he'll be called upon due to injury etc. Simmons obviously wants him to get some proper game time week in week out to prepare him for a roll at some point in the season.

Yeah that makes sense. Blood him out early at Leigh then use him later on when he's ready.

if it is him, I suspect that Eamonn will have a word and ask him to tone it down once he is back over here and pre-season starts properly. Until then, I have no problem with it.
