I think we need either Kyle or Jonny in there if one of them is fit, we lacked an injection of pace into the line early on against hudds.

Also, yes Wigan have a very well drilled and organised defence but so do Hddersifeld who we put 42 points on last week. Also with some players back in the squad then we should tighten up defensively. Soliola appears to tackle anything that comes anywhere near him and will hold the centre of the pitch if he plays second row. I would also be tempted to put flannery out in the centre's just to tighten up the Ade/Meli wing. He's produced some excellent defensive displays at centre and we may need the in the final.

That's because Kyle wasn't fit and no-one else other than Jamie Foster has pace in our team. Kyle is not fit. End of story really. Whether Lomax is fit I don't know. He isn't as fast as Kyle but he can do a great sidestep and a fabulous dance routine.

IF! Potter put him at centre originally. What a waste of a good hitter that is.

I agree. We should drop Meli, who has cost us tries in all of our Grand Finals, and have a Flannery/Gardner combo on that wing. It isn't ideal but it's better than Meli/Gardner or, even worse, A N Other/Meli.

Drop Meli? Are you mad fool?

1 - Wellens
2 - Foster
3 - Gidley
4 - Meli
5 - Gardner
6 - Lomax
7 - Smith
8 - Graham
9 - Cunningham
10 - Hargreaves
11 - Flannery
12 - Clough
13 - Roby

14 - Puletua
15 - Soliola
16 - Moore
17 - Emmit

Strong bench, strong 13 IMO. I've changed my mind on a Roby/Smith halfback combination as having Lomax in there helps in other areas. The bench would be far better than Wigan's.

True. He's gifted Leeds three Grand Finals; may as well give one to Wigan too.

1 - Wellens
2 - Foster
3 - Gidley
4 - Flannery
5 - Gardner
6 - Lomax
7 - Smith
8 - Graham
9 - Cunningham
etc, etc

Just thought I'd fix that for you.

No he didn't. Soliola was stood in the 2nd row channel on gidley's side from the beginning.

You been out for a pint with DD when you wrote this?

It's gonna be a humdinger of a game I think.

I think our front row is the key to the game, If we control it up front we have a great shot.

As underdogs have their day every now and again then lets hope it's ours come Saturday.

I know Wigan were did win the league and were impressive on Saturday but the bookies seem to think they are quite strong favourites for Saturday. I wask kine of expecting them to think it pretty close.

Was anyone else surprised that we are considered definite underdogs on Saturday ?

We're missing our 2 best half backs. We finished 4 points behind Wigan in the league table. Wigan are at Full Strength. The RFL will want a Wigan win for Terry Newton.

We're MASSIVE underdogs but bring it on!!!! Come on Saints!!!

I agree with all that, but my gut feeling is although Wigan were great defensively on Saturday, they were quite fortunate with the tries they scored ie ball slipping out, break of the ball from kicks etc. In addition the Leeds attack seemed pretty toothless. I think if we can get up into attacking positions with Graham, Tony P and KC, these lads are going to take a bit of stopping !
