Success is not final; failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. (Winston Churchill)

I wouldn't risk lomax this year now, he never finishes a game and with having kyle back means we could be down to 15 men.

Huh? Lomax finishes games. He went off towards the end of the last one, but he'd played the full 80 for the previous three (since coming back from his quad strain injury). It's Eastmond who can't seem to finish games these days.

Smith and Eastmond would work well because Smith could take care of the tactical kicking and organisation, allowing Eastmond to do his flashy wow stuff.

I just don't believe Eastmond is actually fit. If he does play, I'll be twitching on two fronts: about the actual match and over which tackle is going to send Kyle off.

Eastmond has picked up a few quite bad injuries, keeping him out and after the last few times i don't think he would play unless Potter thought he was 100% fit, especially with a possible final the week after. Lomax however, i don't remember seeing him go through a game without going down injured, he is guaranteed to pick up at least 1 injury during a game. He normally carries on and finishes the game, but one day its going to cost us leaving him on the field, but we are able to just push Lomax out on the wing out the way, because he is capable of playing there.

But Potter and/or Kyle (can't decide which) has considered Kyle fit enough to play on two other occasions and on both occasions he has limped off the pitch with half a match still to go, leaving the team to battle on one halfback down. While injuries can happen to anyone at any time, we don't need the added pressure of starting a match with a known half-fit player. I've lost confidence in whoever it is who keeps declaring Kyle fit enought to play and after his refusal to leave the pitch last time out, I haven't much confidence in Kyle that he knows himself well enough or is willing to accept that he just isn't fit enough to play.

Lomax however, i don't remember seeing him go through a game without going down injured, he is guaranteed to pick up at least 1 injury during a game.

I disagree. He has been playing with one thigh heavily strapped since he came back from injury and so at some point he limps but until the match against Cas he had played the full 80 each time, as enthusiastically as if he didn't have an injury. When he first had that injury I don't know but clearly it isn't fully right. I don't remember him being out with anything other than a quad strain (on more than one occasion). The player who has picked up multiple injuries this season would be Wheeler.

Ade and Bryn to miss out for me. Ade doesn't, IMO, offer much to the team anymore, i cant see anything he can do that lomax can't. I also think lomax has shown great finishing skills whilst on the wing, he's hungry for the ball and has a yard of pace on Ade. I can never knock Bryn's enthusiasm but has seem to be getting knocked back to me over the past couple of weeks. Against a big huddersfield pack I struggle to see how he would make decent inroads.

I don't know if people name what they would go for, or what they expect Potter to choose (which is what I do), but you're the first to revert Meli back to the wing, which is, given this is the strongest squad we've had to choose from in a long while, a distinct possibility.

Looks good to me. Harsh on Gardner who's done well recently, but defensively we got exposed down that side against Warrington. Flannery is better in that respect.

I think Lomax, if fit, should play on that wing if Gardner is going to be dropped. Meli is a liability around a loose ball and we don't need that with a couple of good kickers in the opposition. If Gardner is going to be dropped, we should go full tilt and drop Meli as well to tighten up the defence on that side, using Lomax and Flannery instead. Unless Lomax isn't fit of course, in which case from a defence POV I think Gardner would be safer on the wing than Meli, with Flannery as centre.
