Might be worth missing the Widnes turn off and heading for Warrington if thats what happens  I could become a Wolf for a year, then make a return in 2012 to boost morale before the move to the new ground.

Can you not just go now and save us all the pain?

For me there are only 3 must keeps in our entire squad and thats Roby, Graham and Eastmond.

What worries me much more is that before we get into thenew stadium we could have lost two of those 3.

Don't agree with that.

I'd be very disappointed indeed if we lost Clough, Gaskell, Puletua, Pryce for starters.

Super Leon and Tony P at least should be added to that, both fine players.

IMO our must keep players are:

Pryce
Eastmond
Roby
Graham
Tony p

They IMO are the only the top class players have in our squad.

The likes of clough, moore, flannery, wello and gidley are ok but nothing special.

I think there is direct correlation between us not recruiting quality senior players on a 1 for 1 basis and us not winning a damn thing in recent years.

I think that our cup run does count as winning something. Just because SKY don't rate the competition doesn't mean we should believe them.

I think there are other reasons for us not dominating the way we did in the past. Mainly the salary cap and the likes of Scully and Jamie Lyon leaving the club. Such players cannot be replaced.

Whilst Pryce and Tony P are both good players either are replaceable, pryce a bit harder I`ll grant you, I`m looking more at the next five years at least.

Roby , Graham and Eastmond would be very difficult to replace and can be the backbone of our team for the majority of the next decade.

Parry Gordon's passes,Les Boyd's strong runs,Mike Gregory's workrate,Des Drummond's tries,Jonathan Davies' sheer genius...........oh,and Alan Rathbone's punches! All memories of the legendary venue which was Wilderspool stadium. Gone maybe, but never, ever forgotten.

Warrington 15,Australia 12.

You mean one year? We still qualified for the Grand Final last year and have reached the Challenge Cup Semi Final two years on the bounce.

I've no great concerns replacing squad players and players who are replaceable with some of the younger players and a few external recruits, it's when we start releasing and selling the key players that I'll be overly concerned.

People go on about Warrington, but what kids have they got coming through? Their best players are in their 30's, they'll have to recruit a helluva lot of quality players in the next few years or start bringing the kids through fast. Our best players are Roby, Graham, Pryce and Eastmond, the majority in their early 20's. Get them signed up long term and we'll be fighting at the top for years to come.

Warrington now have one of the best youth set up's in SL and in 3 or 4 years these players will be coming through in their droves, all in their early 20's with at least a decade ahead of them as wire first graders. Watch this space.

The point blobby was making is your team is full of 30+ players next year and without huge turnaround by the time these youngsters are filtering in they are going to be 33/34+ and it would be highly unrealistic to expect a whole team to appear at once 1 or 2 a year maybe make and stay in the squad.

Warringtons recent work on their academy has been excellent but we all know even hugely promising at 16,17,18,19 takes a big step up to be a fully fledged top class pro.
