Tate might be younger than Gidley, but he's got TWICE as many miles on the clock. Gidley's talents aren't physical - they're between his ears, which means he could probably play till he's 35.

Tate had no right to be ALIVE after Meli re-arranged his spinal column. And he's been getting the phuck kicked out of him ever since.

Are you trying to say Brent Tate ceased to be a good player after that injury in 2003? That's rubbish IMO.

He's suffered with a few injuries, but has been a consistent rep player (SOO and Australia) up until last years tri-nations.

He's been playing for Queensland and Australia in between him "getting the phuck kicked out of him ever since", indeed as recently as the world cup in 2008.

Tate would be a very good signing for any SL club IMO.
