i'd understand you suggesting that if i wrote it on the giants forum, but i didn't!

as a non-huddrsfield fan you don't have to have your head buried in sand to not know that the average gate at a giants match has increased from 5k to 7k - you might just not care! last time i was there, albeit a few years ago, neither end was used. and if your average attendance is less than 8k, that could still be the case.

and the 'better on tv' explanation, though understandable, doesn't work for games like tomorrow's, and the vast majority of your home games, which aren't on tv.

I think that what we are trying to say Rich is that you don't have to be a Giants fan to realise that we don't get 4000 average attendances anymore. We,ve had a massive drive on marketing and developing youngsters over recent years, hence 15 out of the 17 last week against Catalans were British and last year our average attendance was 8179. I'm not a Saints fan but I know your average last season was circa 10600. It's about following the game and all the teams that are shown on Sky these days. I've never known Saints fans fill the Pink Link stand but if you do tomorrow I will take my hat off and congratulate you. Anyway, come over tomorrow and enjoy the experience and have a good game.
