There's not many clubs that'll pay compensation. There's one that springs to mind that won't be a long trip to training.

Can someone talk me through the compensation issue?

He's in the last year of his contract, does the compo only apply if you sign him before it expires? Otherwise, what if he doesn't want to sign for Widnes, but nobody is willing to pay a fee - he can't sign anywhere?

Old news. Discussed that with St.Pete over two weeks ago.
Not likely to be staying at Wigan doesnt see eye to eye with IL allegedly.
Obviously Rogues will know better, those discussions will have taken place in his lounge. Come from excellent source too.

The Finch story is interesting. For me if there's any chance of getting him, we should do it. He's a world-class organiser and exactly what we need.

He's Quota and Non-Fed though...does this mean there's some truth in the rumour that Hohaia wants out at the end of the season?

Hohaia out - Finch in wouldn't be a bad bit of business (understatement of the century)

Finch will be looking for his last big contract, you can't blame him for exploring every possibility, just as Manu has.

Agree (for once!) Puletua did it too, leveraging Warrington's interest to get the best possible deal from Saints. They'd be doing themselves a disservice if they didn't. Long time retired.
