The proposed solution looks far smarter than at present and will improve the overall look of the stadium, however it wont make the stadium weather proof, it will merely make it more weather resistant.
I think its a good compromise as it will ensure the concourses get a lot of natural light and air, which will be nice in good weather, while minimising the negative effects of rain and wind. Looking at the proposed plans the proposed cladding is Kalzip which is made by Corus in Haydock, so nice to see that local firm looks like will benefit. Also the glass fitted is Solar Glass which is again a Pilkington product. If so i propose we become the British Cheese Heads. |
