All Hull fans would be gutted to lose Willie Manu, we would love to see him finish his career off with us. He's a game changer and quite often creates something out of nothing quite often plays the full 80 and seems to never pick up injuries. Wouldn't swap him for any other back rower currently in SL.

Willie Manu spent 2 years at Cas pre Hull and is definitely exempt.

Manu is an exceptional player and has been part of the reason why Hull FC have been playing the way they have been doing; if we were to sign him it would be a great move, and would free up a space to bring in a quality import if he possibly could be a replacement for Sia.

Although I'd be more than happy to keep Sia and see a back-row of: Soliola, Manu and Wilkin, with TP coming from the bench as a prop - that's if he doesn't count towards the quota.

I really do hope that this is true, I really do.

Isn't Manu about 32/33?

As much as I rate him, I doubt he would come cheap and at 32 that would be a huge risk.

Hadn't really considered his age: March 2013 he will be 33 which could be a concern.

I would still offer him a 2yr deal though, I rate him and by the way he's playing atm I still think 2yr contract would be worthwhile.

His agent would be a poorer agent if he did not tout him to all and sundry before signing him up for what could be his last deal, unless he is going to be a steve menzies.

As for his age, well we can't have youth all over the pitch, we need balance not youth at all costs. Manu would provide us with an over 30 in the 2nd row, Wilkin a high 20's, Sia a low 20's and Dixon a young un.
