I understand we can't let Ade go, it was more when you look at Ade's performances against Fosters at a similar age, they were not really that different. But through those years we kept Ade, where as Foster seams to have been excluded more.
I suppose you can say the difference is, that in the years when Ade was dropping the ball and having similar days to Foster in defence, the team was winning things so it did not matter. But when people say Foster is not Saints quality my question is was Ade at a similar age and time in his career???
I'm not sure what point you're trying to make here. Whether he was better or he wasn't, it has no bearing on the decision to release Foster now and IMO he doesn't deserve any more chances because we afforded them to other players in the past. Apart from Eastmond and Graham who both made it difficult (if not impossible) for the club to retain them, I haven't had any concerns with the players we have allowed to leave in the last few years. I'm more concerned with Dixon leaving than Foster if I'm honest, I think he is/was worthy of a new deal. (What's happening with Dixon by the way?)
I do think Foster would be far more suited to the other game though, wouldn't surprise me at all to see him move over.
We can be bold enough to make a stand and do battle for our views and beliefs. But we must strive to be mature enough not to resort to unnecessary personal attacks upon people with opposing views.
Well it's nice to see the website are having an interview with him next week. I do wonder what they will ask, but it seams we are all leaving on good terms, so if he goes well there will be nothing to stop him returning. Unlike the seperation with Eastmond which pretty much shut the door permanently regardless of how things go at bath.

I think you are being naive here.
I don't know whether you ever read Saints' Facebook site? But as the season progressed there was a groundswell of support for both Foster and Gaskell, among males AND females. There will be a lot of fans who are wondering why he was dropped and why he has gone. Only certain males on here and elsewhere with fragile egos and small willies had a problem with Foster. Very, very few were convinced he wasn't good enough. And certainly in the West Terrace where I stood in 2012 there was plenty of support for his return. Dropping him for a few games was fine; for the whole season - especially when we did worse this season than we have done for years - did not go down well.
Jamie will want to protect his future, that's for sure. But the club will also want to protect itself from criticism and such an interview will have been manufactured to do just that.
And in Turner there is a player who is considered to be a defensive liability, in certain circles.
That has been a worry in my mind, but I've not seen enough of him to judge for myself. He's getting picked for the Knights, though, which means he can't be that bad.

What I've seen of him doesn't quite tally up with the vitriol that's regularly posted about him on the Hull board. He seems to have been their equivalent of Meli, automatically receiving the blame for anything that goes wrong on his side of the pitch.
However, his decision making does seem to be a little ropey at times. The last minute winner that David Hodgson scored from 70m out against FC at the Magic Weekend came about because Turner inexplicably rushed in to make a hit.

I’m not sure about you but my ego is fine, and I don’t want to think about, and I’m not concerned of the relative sizes of other men’s penises, (hope that’s the right plural) all I would say is Foster is not as good as either you or he thinks he is IMO, and think to let him go was the right thing to do from the point of view of Saints. The only ego problem is his. PS best to keep references to penis envy and such things out really and stick to RL, that’s just a trip to the dark-side.

Just when I think you have reached your peak of talking complete and utter nonsense, you come out with this.
Do you honestly believe that any self-respecting Saints supporter would give a false opinion on Foster purely because he may be popular with 15 year old girls? No personal abuse, please. I'd love to meet you at a game and really see what goes on in that head of yours.
Out of every Saints supporter I have spoken to on the subject, I'd say no more than 10% think that he deserved a recall last season and/or should have been in the 1st choice 17 next year. I can't say for certain but I'm sure there were a few large egos/penises amongst the 90%. You idiot.

While there is undoubtedly comedy value to be had from reading her uninformed one-eyed ramblings, it's a much better strategy to just block/ignore her matey, trust me. I'd probably have been banned by now if I hadn't

I rather think you are the idiot for getting so steamed up about a daft comment. Makes me laugh.
I'd love to know where you get that 10% from. Thin air I should imagine.
Meanwhile, those who resort to personal insult clearly don't have much between their ears and so I guess I must pity you.
Clearly you can't read either because at no time did I suggest that anyone was giving a 'false opinion' about Foster.
