A perfect storm for Saints. A week off, against a post CC, off colour Leeds with some key strike players missing. Very well played.

Agreed. That was a Leeds performance some way below their last few months. However, saints obviously did play better than their last month. And when we started offloading, even if it was a bit dodgy, it was a sign of returning confidence. Rugby league is much more of a mental game than people give it credit for, and that win will do huge amounts for the confidence at Saints.

We can only play whats infront of us. Leeds was under strength and did have a poor prep for the game but that's not our problem.

We did put them under a bit more pressure more than our previous 2 outings which forced them into a few more errors. Only listened to it on the radio, seems as though Walsh, Burns and Wilkin got there act together on this one.

Indeed. Saints were very focused, and took their chances.
I always thought Saints would win this game, and hopefully if we do meet again we'll see both teams playing close to their best.

Walsh looked the business tonight and I'm glad for the guy as he has had some awful injuries.
Burns is for me very very poor.
Walsh and Wilkin at 6 & 7 is far better proposition even if it means a kickathon every game.
I fear Saints more than Leeds in the final 4.
Although the quality currently in SL in general is pretty shocking at least any of the top 4 this year can win the comp and home advantage for any team does not mean a gimme.
Good win for you guys tonight and Mr Patrick Power has has to reacquaint me with some of my previous losses so not too bad for myself!
