As for last season, I wouldn't know; I didn't even post on here last year.

Look I'll qualify my comment since you're struggling with it. First half, we were outclassed. Second half we made a game of it. However there's no doubt we were miles away. Does it mean the season's over ? No, does it heck, I still think we're favourites for both trophies. It is folly however to not credit Leeds on what they did to us last night.

The answer is simple for Richards, he normally does regular big stints in defence. Against Leeds he had a poor game for him, but hey there were a few out there with more game time making just as many if not more errors.

15 Errors this week, Last week it was 13 and we were lucky because Huddersfield made more which effectively stopped them.

We need to stop these errors as you can't do anything if you are not managing your handling of the ball when it's in your hands.

Leeds made 11 errors too which may be explained by our 2nd have revival.

I mean, you guys should really consider cashing in your Saints shirts and going to follow Wigan - where screeching "The End Is Nigh" hyperbole is the norm.

I watched the game back. AFTER Turner's 2nd try you never get within 20m of Leeds' line (you didn't get within 30m until the 76th minute and the game already gone)......so no you didn't have great chances to close within 6 points.

Saints were guilty of shooting themselves in the foot that first half, but so were Leeds that first 20 of the 2nd half, twice you got good field position by Hardaker first losing the ball and then failing to take a high kick which gave you field position starting in the Leeds 20. Add to that we still thought we could try the expansive play that worked in the first half when clearly the Saints defence had upped itself and shut it down then we were just as guilty of our contribution to our own woes as Saints in the first half.

So 75-0 is the official definition of what it means to be outclassed is it? Saints are a good team who will be there or there abouts come the business end of the season. But on Friday, at home, they were comfortably beaten. They weren't in it in the first half and despite a very strong third quarter, as some one pointed out above, they lost the second half as well but by a much smaller margin. Does that mean your season is done, does it predict the outcome of the return leg at HQ absolutely not. But on Friday Saints were outclassed.
