I think Wigan's problems are far more fundamental. I just can't understand this season's obsession with neglecting your front row in favour of strengthening your back division. Both Wigan & Leeds (to a lesser extent) seemed utterly fixated with touch rugby - pushing all of their attacking thrust down the channels (with maybe one or two half-hearted "forward" drives to reset the playbook). It's ironic that precisely at the time when England boasts its finest collection of front rowers (in decades) - the English game seems to be giving up on the position of prop.
I mean, look at the utterly pathetic stats "Honest" Tony Clubb and Mossop turned in last night. I'd seriously consider quitting the sport if those figures were mine. And it's not as though Leeds' defence was a brick wall.
