Funnily enough I had a conversation at the game on Friday night with a few people about whether we would trade a 3-4 game ban for a long injury to McIlorum if Masoe was to go out and smash him. It was slightly tongue in cheek but it doesn't take a genius to work out the general consensus of opinion!

I really doubt anyone would be against the idea. Same with Leeds, get Mose hunting Bailey all game and he'll run off crying.

As I said, the conversation was tongue in cheek, but if anyone deserves it then it would be McIlorum.

I would not condone attacking any player.

However, there is nothing to stop our forwards harrassing him. Deflect his aggression onto the bigger fella's.

If Masoe is annoying MM, maybe giving the odd bit of lying on in the tackle. He will know there will be big problems if he steps out of line.

It's the threat that is needed. if the threat is real enough, there will be no need for illegal tactics.

Whilst no great fan of MM as a player (decent, not nearly "world class" as Wane and some of the less intelligent pies would state), anyone who thinks he will be intimidated away from his naturally aggressive game by ANYONE is daft. Particularly by "telling him in the tackle".

Like him or loathe him, MM is hard as nails and will play his game come what may.

Yes you need to front up and prove you're no pushovers, but I'd rather we concentrated on playing rugby and let lesser players like MM lose their head if they choose to. Sounds like his aggression played a big part in Wigan losing at the weekend.

p.s. MM is McIlorum not Mose!
