And I personally think at his pomp Wello was a better full back than Tomkins or Robinson. Tomkins is a very good rugby league player but as an out and out full back Wello gets it for me. Robinson decent RL winger better yawnion player though

This is where it is difficult to compare again. The way the full back role has evolved Wellens at his peak couldn't run Tomkins close. However as a defensive full back in the more traditional role he was, and probably still is better. Maybe i'm biased bit i'd still have Radlinski over Wellens.

You will be biased just like I am but remember what I said as a full back which many of us still think the game should be played a full back was first and foremost a defensive rock Wello beats everyone on that score. Safe under a high ball Wello again. Then you come up to the speed to line link which historically only really Paul Charlton did well. That is what Rads and the redefined half backs like Tomkins and Lomax are exceptional at and over distance as well. They also have better hands as well.

What has you seeing him in a Wigan shirt got to do with his ability. Also, with regards to your other argument, Stuart Littler played approximately 10 extra seasons than Jamie Lyon, it doesn't make him the better player.

Wigans win ratio with and without tomkins in the side tells how good he is, he's a once in 10 yr player, best ever in SL? Possibly but it's all opinion. For me it's Scully, could play any position prop to 6 and be star quality
