He's 22, he's been playing rugby for a few years, he needs to learn how to play it at this level. The only way he will do that is by playing it. His real mistakes were PTBs. You have PTBs in all levels of rugby so I don't know why that would suggest he has been thrown in too early? He will only get fit by playing at this level; his judgements will only improve by being exposed to this level. Brown did the right thing in playing him. He got some real experience and he made good yards for us. He was only one of two direct running forwards (the other being Roby) and because of that he's better than our other props already.

He got clattered in the tackle of his first error, think that winded him and dont think he got over that 100% in the first half. It will take time to get used to the intensity of collision in superleague, he's raw but the potential is there

Chairmaker said about playing Forster or Hand as they've been around the pro set up longer. So has Greenwood and he Gave 3 penalties away in 5 mins that ended up being pretty crucial. Just because you've been in the environment doesnt make you incapable of balls ups. I don't think Forster or Hand would offer as much with the ball as Walmsley could. He got us on the roll for a penalty leading to a try and forced an error as well. Some good, some bad

Hand has just been dual registered with Rochdale, along with Wheeler and two others, so I'm not sure we will be seeing much of him in the first team.

Knock ons aside, he played alright. It was his first game SL, and was bound be nervous and keen to make an impression. Hopefully he'll get more game time in the next game, and he'll put the nerves to one side.

Walmsley is going to be one hell of a player, just imagine him another 5kg of muscle, more stamina, more speed, more experience.
Thought Brown was right with the amount of game time he got during the match. Wasn,t too bothered with his knock ons during the play the ball that will go over time, its his raw power and movement into the opposition is a great positive.

Agreed he has great promise for us, except Brown kept him on too long when he was lcearly knackered and the mistakes came.

I thought his only mistakes were two PTB fumbles? If I've remembered correctly then he made exactly the same mistake during the friendly against Huddersfield and he'd only been on the pitch long enough to make one drive before making the mistake on that occasion!

I reckon he was on for just about the right length of time. He has to be a bit knackered because otherwise he won't get up to the right fitness level. By pushing him that bit further each time he will adjust as the season progresses.

Also we can only take Warmsley off if there is someone to come on. This is the problem. When Jammer was being blooded, he had four first grade props to get rotated into the team with. Easy to be blooded under those conditions.

With Perry out, I'm not sure there is another out and out prop in the team other than Warlmsley???

LMS is supposed to be our other out and out prop. Personally, I'd be happy for him to return to London.
