Re: Season ticket renewals deadline passed : Sat Oct 13, 2012 11:58 am
Done a comparison of Sales from last year to this year.As of 22nd October 2011 the following were the figures for unsold seats.
North stand
C= 36
D=15
E=0
F=27
G= 111
South was
C= hundreds unsold (only 23 sold)
D=45 unsold
E= 1
G= 3
H= 6
I= 190
Move forward to 2012 and it would appear Saints are keeping back online Sales for the South stand Silver block eg C,D,H,I as they are not available online. Alternatively they may have sold out, which i find unlikely.
North stand figures for 2012 are as follows
c= 63 unsold
d= 25
e= 28
f= 61
g= 161
For the South stand we only have available
e=18
G=20
So to sum up. Its clear that season ticket sales are down at the same period of last year for the North stand. There is also limited evidence of a drop in the South stand as well. Not catastrophically down as some predicted, but still a drop.
North stand sales are 149 down on this time last year.
In the two blocks of the south stand i have figures for they are 34 down.
I therefore suspect we will be looking at around 9k to 9.5k season ticket holders this time round, rather than the
magical 10k of the first season.
9k season ticket sales would still represent lala land from the days of Knowsley road, when 4-5k was the norm. It would also represent a figure that only Leeds and Wigan could match or better. Wire by the way had record season ticket sales last year and they got around 8k. Hull usually have between 8k and 9k season ticket holders.
I discount Bradford as they just gave them away last year and paid the ultimate price for doing so.
The rest of the clubs struggle to attain 5k season ticket holders.
