Highly doubt that this is true...

1) Why would the Eels discuss bringing in someone who has JUST signed for another club? This would mean that they would have to pay substantial compensation even if he does have a clause in his contract (which I doubt)

2) Nathan Brown's reputation is terrible over there, so I can't see why they would look to him to salvage their club. Look at the reaction of their fans!

Let's not jump to too many conclusions here...some random website has suggested this, yet some already are ridiculing the poor man!

Nathan Brown has been very unprofessional during his Super League stint. He clearly wants an NRL coaching job and has created uncertainty almost every year at Huddersfield by angling for move. This got to the point where they didn't offer him a new deal and gave his job to his assistant.

If he does the same thing once at Saints, it's one too many. Hopefully as you say it's not true and he's now settled on seeing out his Saints contract. If not and like Potter it was just a stop gap with the ultimate aim of returning to the NRL, we've made a big mistake. I just hope McManus received some reassurance about this during the negotiations.

I just think that we need to put our trust into McManus to have got assurances etc from him...I am sure that he will be aware of Brown's tendencies to be linked with the NRL.

I reckon if there is a clause in his contract stating that he can be released to go to the NRL then I assume, or hope, it won't be for the first two years.

Nathan Brown, although reasonably impressive to us, obviously hasn't done enough to merit a job back in the NRL. If he wants one, he needs to win some trophies. If he can't win trophies with a "big club" like St Helens, then I'm afraid he won't be exactly inundated with offers.

If we lose him to the NRL, i reckon it will be after he's won us a pot or two.

From an outsiders point of view.

The Giants have gone into free fall these past 2 months.

Whilst the players have to take a proportion of the blame, ultimately however there is one person who shoulders the blame for that collapse.

Do you really want NB to be in charge at Saints?

Tony Smith got Hudds relegated after a run of 13 consecutive defeats which, to date, remains the worst ever run of results in SL.

Would you really want Tony Smith to be in charge at Wire?
