Ben Davies isn't on loan at Widnes, and you do know what day it is.

Mossop out is a big one for you. TP back for us.

He likes to state the obvious and make it sound like some kind of revelation. Targeting halfbacks to tire them out is a pretty standard tactic even at amateur level.

On topic - If the forward lay the platform like they have over the last couple of weeks then Lomax and Lance will have the time and space to work some magic.

As for Gaskell maybe a dual reg would be good for him to help him keep developing.

Lomax could tackle through next week. He takes the legs every time much like Roby does and it is so effective. Hock may be running amok but don't forget he will come up against arguably our best player in Laffranchi at the moment. He loves an offload too and this could be a really good battle!

I don't think Saints will target Finch too much, i think they will look to attack McIlorum and knock him off his very short fuse around the ruck. It will be how we deal with the good long kicking game of Wigan that i worry about. They have players who can kick it a bloody mile and make it hit the ground, i don't think we have the same quality and this could be a big part of whoever wins the game.

I think Wigan's 'spot' should be Hohaia really as he seems to give a few high shots really, but as said above this is a standard tactic that amateur sides will utilise so it's not a real worry.

I had my doubts about Lomax as a half back, but our style of play really suits his game - especially with Lance next to him who takes a lot of the responsibility off him.

Gaskell needs to go out on loan I think to give him some better game time, otherwise his development is going to stagnate.

Lomax is more instinctive than tactically minded. With Hohaia assuming the responsibility of creating space and organising the attack Jonny can concentrate more on his natural game.

I'd still prefer to see him running out of the dummy half where I think his game is naturally suited. But if that door is shut a functioning combination with Hohaia is no bad thing.
