A despondent Saints coach Royce Simmons said the team's lack of communication was the biggest weakness in his side's performance.

"I thought we were reasonable in the first half and poor in the second half," he said.

"There was no communication out there whatsoever. We were lost and I am the coach and I did not know what we were doing at different stages. It was not what we planned to do.

This might sound strange but the injuries of last year disguised the fact he can't coach. He got lucky that he didn't have to think about things as the team picked its self.

I can't put into words just how poor Simmons is.

Swap you Horne for either Gaskell or Lomax? You'd be getting a bargain!
A for international in the halves who's also played on the wing, who's experienced and still only 27 (I think) and well that's about it. Oh forgot to mention he likes the 'drop off' and the 'grubber' ALOT!

And in exchange we'll take either who are getting alot of critism and inexperienced.

I'd pay for the flight myself and I'm serious! I'd pay my hars earned money to get shut of him as IMO he's just ruining the club from top to bottom.

I can't stress just what a pathetic coach he is and his we will suffer for at least the 4/5 years due to his spell at saints.

Apart from 50 mins against the Catalan we've be shocking. Struggled against a very poor London team, struggled against a poor Salford team, scraped a draw against a average injury hit hull kr team, lost to a good side in Catalan but we was about 20 points up at one point, hudds defeat was always going to be tough so I can live with that and then the was last nights mess.

I honestly don't think Simmons has the power to pull us out of this, he's just clueless and the fact he's has nearly full strength squad leaves him with no excuse like last year.

The minute a team puts any pressure on us we fall apart. We seem to go second half with no ball every week.

not asking this rhetorically, because i dont watch saints every week, but was potter that bad?

in his first season, you only had 17 experienced players - the rest of the squad were kids. potter did a fine job with them, and took the club to two grand finals.
