I am not paranoid about aus refs; just stating facts - they wouldn't even let us have a neutral VR without an aus "overseer" last time we played them. Lets see who the officials are when we play them this time - they will certainly not be all UK/French.
The guy on friday night made a few mistakes which unfortuantely seemed to be against us for some odd reason. In addition, he allowed some really bad holding down and messing about at the PTB which doesn't bode well for the tournament esp if he is involved which looks likely.

The French game wasn't about the score, it was to give players a run out, give the players chance to play with each other in game situation.

The game was perfect prep for the four nations.

The Catalans' Super League success needs to be expanded to other areas starting with another team in the South, with the long-term goal of creating an independent French Super League. The market is clearly there if the process is done correctly.

Sadly, I can't see the RFL being smart enough to capitalise on it judging by recent failures.

The best way to deal with McBannana is to promote him. I think as you say some of the stuff he's done is pretty good he just seems to be a better administrator rather than a coach. Leave him in charge of structures and such and negotiating with clubs but get us a proper coach who understands the latest tactics and knows how to get the best out of player .. sadly it probably needs an aussie

Yes I agree, the england manager role that phil Clarke once had would be ideal for him.
