But Wigan are back. For years we were mediorce purely making up the numbers in SL. Now under the leadership of Lenegan we've won a GF and CC in the past two years, and will no doubt be challenging for honors yet again next season.

The way you lot was talking you thought it was the 80s all over again but it's not as we are all fulltime now

I think you lot will now see just what a achievement it's been for saints to get to so many grand finals in a row. (we might lose every year but we get there  )

The new young dynasty of super saints is coming to a ground near you.
Welsby-Dodd-Simms-Eaves-Rizzelli, not Eastmond...the future is coming.

I think Wigan and Wire fans will always "stick there head in the sand" as far as Saints achievements go. Is it not 9 grand finals now, topped up with 7 challenge cups and 7 league leaders, thats some achievement in this era of full time professional players. This is not arrogance its just plain fact.......Well done Saints for this seasons achievements in an injury ravaged season.

Yes it is a fantastic achievement. Most teams would settle for that.
Others teams have had injuries this season as well you know.

Everyteam gets injuries in a season, I'd like to see some stats but I reccon we've had most first team injuries in the league this season. Couple that to the Ea$tmond fiasco and we've done very very well

We didn't have the luxury of having the best young players in the world like Wigan to bring in or the three storm players from nrl.

I think we did pretty well with a old, over the hill, to slow, 2nd rate team thaw not played home at all this year

Yes Saints have coped very well and looking at the bigger picture the emergence of Lomax and Gaskell is a big bonus and might not have happened had Pryce not been injured and Eastmond not been such a big wuss.
There was an interesting stat on the Wigan board a while ago showing that Wigan have suffered more injuries than Saints including first choice players Fielden and Roberts out all season and Gleeson having to be released for personal reasons. Not complaining though because injuries do occur and it is a squad game.

Shame to see him go. One of the very best coaches to grace SL. Nice guy too.

Congratulations by the way. Still haven't decided who I want to win the GF yet though. I'll let you know midweek. :thumb:

It's a Shame you lot didn't turn up last week to wave goodbye to him seeing he's the greatest coach ever
