We've seen how the skinny kids (Tomkins & Roby for example) put meat on their bones, when/if Gaskell does this in the off season, he's going to be a very hard lad to pull down. He already is threatening to get through the other side of tackles, just not quite breaking away. If he carries on I can see him getting throught the line on a regular occasion next year.

I think we get the best out of lomax when Gaskell is at 6.

Agreed, he's the steady hand that allows Lomax to play as he sees it.
Its a traditional partnership with one being the distributor and kicker and the other being a real dangerman runner. Obviously their skills cross over, but between them they cover nearly every base.

Players like Gaskell are a very rare in todays game.

Did anyone else notice the lomaskell draw back of just playing to meli was totally turned around. So they can play both sides.

I agree Leon will take the bench spot if he is fit same for eastmond. They sit have that x factor and are a good player to pull out if we are in a hole. But they are not consistent enough through a game to provide a constant threat that Gaskell and Lomax do. They were trying all match and getting a battering for it at times. But at least they kept trying sometimes it came off sometimes they got crunched. But they did not drift in and out the game as it suited them.

It will be Eastmond or Pryce on the bench I think, cant see both getting spots

I'd 100% have pryce on the bench as the hack Royce likes. He's ideal as he covers every back position and could even slot in asca 13.

Leon has the ability to change game and most teams wouldn't like to see a fresh Leon pryce take the field while they getting tired.
